Uber launches option to let female users request female drivers

I would like the option to choose NOT to have a woman driver. If we're doing this in the name of safety...

How do you know its not a pretender? Uber will bow to the wokeness and have dudes pretending to be chicks

Its going to be real confusing when "Pangnders" open the app and don't see an option for them

Can we get an option added to choose a female driver that is at least an 8 on the OT unicorn scale?

$5 cheaper for a woman driver? I'd assuming that would eventually work its way down to what the driver earns, yes? That's roughly .75 on the dollar to the comfort (men) option. This feels wage gappy . Unless there is another economy option not being shown.

I like that they do this, but you are probably correct. There is nothing that is stopping the customer from requesting a female driver. The problem will be on the other end where the female driver refuses a fare based on someone's sex.
