The SOB looked to see what was behind him and to his left, and then he turned right in front of that car.
He had no understanding of the other car's speed, nor the turning capabilities of his rig.
It's surprising he didn't kill more people coming the other way.

There was a thread about this yesterday on the Poliboard and the usual suspects excused it, as expected. One sociopath even stated it was fine because American truck drivers have caused wrecks too.

I was driving north on 59 in east Texas, 4 lane divided highway. A semi with a trailer pulled across our lanes from the east into the median and stopped waiting for southbound traffic to clear. His trailer completely blocked the lanes. By some miracle I was able to slow down enough and swerve around it while pulling a flatbed trailer. I don’t know if I’ve ever been more angry in my life. It was just a total disregard for human life by that truck driver, just like what we saw it that video.
