Why involve the Feds?

Let the market take care of it.

So far, for years, the numbers have not shown they are really being punished.

It's not over yet; market pressures just might accumulate and things change.

Now, stadiums vs. public funding (of any type) is a whole other story that just might have to involve the Feds. BUT, if public is voting for funding, bonds, taxes so be it. If not, now we have some issues. Varies by locality.

My personal view is yes- they are using our fandom to make profit that otherwise would not survive a regular market environment. But they are not unique in that... any "fad" qualifies as similar.

But it is no different than CFB. That's a big money deal in football, and it is indeed tied to schools and the vast majority of them public institutions taking both fed and obviously state money while the same shite (or worse) is going in outside the stadium on campus. Do we want feds messing with [insert SEC football team] to get to the academic side and force them? No. Do what you want with the school, but leave the football out of it.

NFL has gone woke many years ago and yet those who hate woke still support the NFL. Haven’t been to or seen an NFL game in many years. They turned me off when they would kneel while the star spangled banner was being played. For the rest of my life, I will never watch another NFL game

Trump doesn't need to sign anything formally, just put out a Truth / Tweet on the matter and it'll take care of itself.

I've tapped out of the NFL. Years ago. Grew up watching in the 70's, 80's, 90's.. but I've come to the conclusion that the great plan is to eventually phase out the game entirely .

It's too violent. Too masculine. Too AMERICAN.

Instead of destroying the league outright, they're trying to soft land it, while milking it for all it's worth.

But they're looking to expand! How can you say they want to destroy the league ?

What they want isn't football. It's a pale, weak imitation of what we used to call the game. It's destined to be more of a WWE version. A spectacle. not a sport.
