dont you have to agree to let them remotely adjust your temp to get that deal?

I got one last time and put it in my Airbnb. I haven't noticed them changing it. If anything they'll probably make it colder.

I didn;t click any agreement at all, let alone that. Website doesn;t say that either.
If I missed something I'll just toss em, they're free anyway.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I was generally curious because I heard there are stipulations in some states for these subsidized thermostats.
Also curious how they would do it. I can't imagine giving someone my thermostat password.

I didn't realize it was as easy as adding 2 to cart and clicking two buttons
Got two of the T5's since it appears those work best with Home Assistant. Not sure I'll replace my current thermostats, but they'll be fine backups

Some electric providers have this stipulation, but Entergy does not.

Which of these do you guys recommend?
I have 2 “basic” Honeywell digital touchscreen thermostats now. They do have a function to control “dehumidification”.
I want something that is easy to use / install, allows me to control from the screen or app, etc..
I do not want to have to use batteries.
I do have a C wire.

i looked up this program in middle TN and they're offering a one-time "$65 credit" and during "peak sumer" the ability to change your thermostat "no more than 4 degrees"
yeah frick that. wife gets upset when i raise it one degree. she would divorce me if it was 4 degrees warmer every day in the house.

LOL No. I got the Honeywell one about a year ago for a penny and haven’t had any issues at all. If Entergy does take control of it ( which they won’t/cant), I’ll put my old one back in (which is a 2 minute job)

Looks like all of the free ones are sold out now.
