Passing through and staying Monday night. Have a room just south of downtown. Any restaurants, bars, breweries etc.... to check out?

American Solera or Heirloom for breweries (if you're really into beer... not just looking for good atmosphere or fun vibes). Both are extremely well respected.

Went to Sidecar when I was there last time. It's a pretty cool rooftop bar.

American Solera although I don't care for their new location, it's corporate and sterile. Heirloom is a much more hip vibe as is Cabin Boys just around the corner from American Solera. McNellie's is a pub with decent food. Andolini's Pizzeria is decent pizza. I'm sure their is some good food in Tulsa, I've just never found it. If the weather is nice and you have an hour to kill, go to the park along the river called The Gathering Place. Its a free public park but is amazing with a big "lodge" with floor to ceiling windows where people hang out and work like a starbucks. The park is huge and has a kids play area you have to see to believe. Something like that you usually have to pay to get into.

Agree on the Gathering Place! Very, very cool public space that's well worth checking out. I also have not found a "must do" place for food in Tulsa (though I'm also usually in a hurry going to a concert when I'm there).

Hate it that I'm just now seeing this. I used to travel to Tulsa on a regular basis about 20 years ago, and I would have insisted that you get some tabbouleh. There isn't anyplace like Tulsa for it...so many places have amazing stuff.

I used to love going to Sapulpa and eating at Freddie's BBQ. The Spudder was another place that I liked a lot, but this was back in the day, and I had some pretty good food at McGill's back then as well.

If you don't mind throwing down money, Mahogany was always nice...but it was pricey.

We went to bar named Graffiti one night downtown.
They had a piano bar in the back that our group had so much fun at.

Woody Guthrie is from Oklahoma and is Bob's hero. Woody's museum is in Tulsa so Bob built his next door to Woody's.
