Kansas City Missouri city-owned non-profit grocery store closing due to theft and crime. City has put $18m into this store since 2016. Hopefully NY residents read this and decide against electing madman Mamdani.

How many times does it need to be said? Elections have consequences.

I wonder if the city-owned store was put in because all of the for-profit grocers fled the area.

If this city owned store closed for the reasons listed, you know the answer to your question.

LOL! They'll double down on the Marxist and say "well, we'll do it the right way because KC did it all wrong."

They don't care. They think the 50% who pay for it will keep paying for it. Apathy will set in even worse. At this point the people who think taxing us even more is the answer, and whatever the taxes won't cover they can print the rest and run up inflation even more (another tax), had better prepare themselves for the reality that there's a breaking point, and legacy Americans have an inherent, genetic disposition to call bullshite much faster than a limp wristed Brit whose best of the bloodline moved here or died in a world war. Most of the people in Washington are aloof and ignorant to the reality of being an actual private citizen, and most have never achieved a single real world result outside of government control. It's why when someone is asking for my vote and mentions their extensive experience in government they've stacked the deck against themselves. Trump not being a deeply experienced politician is a feature, and yet they still parrot that point and don't understand why it doesn't land like it used to.

One day even the most ignorant of citizens will wake up and realize they're living in a socialist hellscape where the state has taken, essentially, every bit of their money to redistribute. It's why when anyone says our problems are due to capitalism I immediately put them in the, "retard" box: we have a state capitalism form of economics, and it's growing by the year. Lenin himself said it's a required precursor type of economy before the inevitable spiral into full blown socialism.

The democrat party is the party of non-starter, failure to launch effeminate men, emotional women, and minorities stuck in a victim complex mentality. All have one thing in common: They are human leeches on every race, ethnicity, religion and creed of human beings who are working to contribute to society, but unfortunately the latter is also chock full of dumbasses who vote against their own wellbeing (Republicans included).

Imagine going through covid and believing more government is the answer. Imagine thinking government run grocery stores are the answer. Imagine hollering about there should be a law. Every vehicle on the road that I meet I remember that its driver is likely to be one of those people and act accordingly.

Why not just set up a store where they order on the app and then workers bring your paid for order to the vehicle. Cut the obviously untrustworthy customers out of the shopping equation.

Unfortunately like a lot of cities it's been run mostly by Dems. KC has had a dem mayor since 1991. IMO It's really gone downhill in the last 5 years or so.

I can almost guarantee that will be discovered to be the case.
