ESPN Rating of Every Team and Front Office

ESPN Story
ESPN rated every team for QB, overall roster outside of QB, coaching staff, and front office. Ouch… the saints ranked 28th, 31st, 31st, and 32nd.
Of note, the front office was last and by a wide margin. We were the only one to get a D rating for front office. Decent read and yes I know it’s ESPN.

We have a brand new coach and staff that has yet to take the field, and they ranked it 31? These lists are so dumb.
Could this be the second worst coaching staff in the league? Of course; however, rating it as such at this point is pure foolishness. These so called pundits just want clickbait and angry chatter. It's best to just ignore them

MDS……
I really Understand what you saying about the New Coaches but it’s actually a Very Very Clear INDICTMENT of Loomis !!
He’s the GM and been involved in everything over many years !!

So what I’ve been saying for years, nothing new.
I do like the Moore hiring and his DC. For the shape of the franchise in what Loomis did to it, that was about as good a hire as you will get.

You are the shite stud. You are amazing and hell you should give yourself an exclusive multi year round the world vacation. You could see through it all. Not us though.
Everyone else here graded Loomis a solid A+ the last three seasons and were offering our daughters to him for the excellent product he put out on the field. What were we thinking when all we had to do was read your consistently partially thought out post.

He was the lone voice screaming out through the crowd of naysayers, the rebel we all need but ignored. IF ONLY WE'D HAVE LISTENED!

“How is this relevant? Wah. We have a new coach who just won the superbowl. ESPN? Never heard of them. Who cares what they think” - facepainters

They're right until proven wrong..
Our head coach has no head coaching experience
Our GM is an accountant who basically did whatever Payton and his talent scouts told him to (and most of those people have been poached to other teams)
Our front office consists of a bunch of businessmen and an owner who has zero idea where to turn to try and replace her underlings, should she ever decide to do so. (See: Pelicans, New Orleans)
We have a salary cap filled with players that we gave large long-term deals to because they stuck it out with New Orleans, so we rewarded their loyalty even after their production could no longer justify their salaries
Our QB room consists of a backup (Rattler) and a guy that theyre hoping is ready to contribute quickly because of unquantifiable metrics like "poise, experience, etc"
Honestly I think we are close to what the Broncos and 49ers were before they went and installed football guys like Elway and Lynch in decision-maker positions
Expecting Gayle, Lauscha, and a bunch of C-suite execs to execute a rebuild is ridiculous, in my opinion

I remember when Loomis used to be THE GM in the NFL. He had that stretch of 2-3 drafts that were legendary.

Reading this reminds me why everyone shits on ESPN articles. Hell, they don't even read what they write themselves.
They ranked both the coaching staff & supporting cast as 31st; yet these are the tools and combinations that will help him?
They are ignoring their offensive line by investing heavily in the offensive line?
I am curious as to how they came up with the front office being ranked 32nd; not arguing against it, just wondering about the metrics. It wasn't that long ago the team was winning, and this same/similar front office was one of the best, if not the best, in these rankings. The winning stops once Brees & Payton retire, and now the front office is the worst. Also, how much weight is placed on the 32nd ranking because of the cap. "IF" this cap is fixed over the next 2 years, as currently projected, do they jump up significantly or is it still a shitty front office (per the ranking)
I noticed that the worst QB room in the history of the league, per Saints Talk, is ranked 28th overall (score of 64.5); ahead of NYJ @ 29 (61.5), Indy @ 30 (58.8) Pitt & Clev both @ 31 (56.8)

Is rookie second-round pick Tyler Shough the future franchise quarterback in New Orleans? That is the question that needs to be answered. He has all of the tools and a very good combination of coaches and supporting cast surrounding him.

quote:
It's hard to fault the Saints for ignoring their offensive line, because they spend a lot of draft capital at the position. Four of this year's projected starters are first-round picks, with the exception being McCoy, a second-rounder in 2019. -

Every ranking is based off last year.

The patriots hired a dude and fired a dude within 1 yr. Yet their front office is on a mediocre pedestal while mickey is navigating the titanic around and past the iceberg and everyone crying about a can.

Not attacking the OP.
Haven't watched ESPN in years, saw the 30 for 30 on "Catholics vs. Convicts" ND / Miami game. Literally watched for 30 seconds and "white vs. black" was brought up four or five times. Turned it off.
Im sure that show is pretty old but I just cant deal with it, their entire existence seems to be geared towards victimhood and division.
