Vance is wrong. I don't want Russia attacking a NATO country and getting us in an Article 5 conflict. The only way to do that is to beat them in Ukraine. I'd rather beat them now with minimal cost and other people's soldiers than an all out NATO war.

Russia can barely hold a small portion of Ukraine. Putin isn’t attacking NATO, lol.

I think he makes a good point, and here’s why: IMO, much like the situation with Islamists, too many folks underestimate the resolve of Putin (and plenty of other Russians) to accomplish ultimate goals that would likely seem a bit outrageous to us - but they don’t think the same way we do. I believe Russia, most especially with Putin at the helm, is a very underrated problem.
