We're at end stage humanity. That's pretty clear. Either we merge with machines/AI or be replaced by them.

It's odd that the left preached evolution when I was young, apparently more because it was a slap at religion than because they believed or understood it. Then they proceeded to push 60 years of govt policy aimed at thwarting natural selection, all the while telling anyone who would listen that those policies would make human civilization stronger. That "equal outcomes" ideology was badly flawed. What will happen is the natural reversal of that attempt to regulate nature will eliminate pretty much everyone who actually believed that narrative from the gene pool, along with a large percentage of everyone else.
