Is anyone surprised his game didn't translate that well to NFL?

He wasn't as shifty in the NFL. He gained too much weight.

Injuries and weight hurt him but he had 2-3 good to very good seasons. I saw he’s making a comeback as well.

Leonard fournette is one of the greatest college running backs of all time and got picked 4th in the draft and had a good NFL career and helped his team win a superbowl. He will always be a legend around here.

college football >>>> NFL

He prob should have been a LB. Saban was right as per usual

He was a one cut back that feasted on teams that were physically inferior.

No real surprise that he fizzled out

He was still pretty good for a couple years with the crappy jags o line and was a key factor in the playoffs for Tampa Bay’s Super Bowl. He gained too much weight and had injuries so he never reached the full potential he had but overall a decent career.

That Jags team was one BS blown call away from a Super Bowl

True they still had a horrible offensive line though

I mean I’d take his running back production at LSU

Fournette had a great sophomore year, but this is ridiculous. 3800 yards and 40 TD’s as a 3 year starter isn’t close to being one of the GOAT college RB’s

Yea, no disagreement there but they outplayed NE in that AFC title game. Bortles played out of his mind lol.

Everybody knows Danny Woodhead is the GOAT college RB.

He's earned $37mil in 6 seasons and won a superbowl. He could retire today and be pretty happy.

Considering who his coach was and the system he ran, those are GOAT numbers

LF7 was a great college back that had lots of speed and freakish power but he didn't have even average balance. If you swipe at his feet/ankles/lower leg he goes down like a rock. Watch the tape. I said the same after his freshman year. His weight even makes him worse.

That’s less than Myles Garrett will make this season.

Ricky Williams ran for >4000 yards and 52 TD’s his JR & SR seasons playing for 2 different coaches on teams that went 12–10, and he’s not even the greatest college RB. And that ranking includes him running for 2100 yards and 20 td’s the other 2 years

Fournette was a man amongst boys in college. He was legitimately great.

His bully style didn’t translate to the league and going to the Jags when they were terrible didn’t help
