Y’all ever ask for a to go box when it’s gonna be hours until you are home?

I’m admittedly overly cautious when it comes to not leaving my food out. Food Poisoning just sucks too bad to want to take risks. But I swear, throughout my life, I’ve seen people leave to go boxes in the car while we go see a movie or whatever post-dinner event. Is the 1/3rd of a lasagna that’s been out for 5 hours really worth it?
Reminds me back in college, my roommate would order pizza for a party. Then leave it out on the counter and get up the next day and just grab room temp slices for lunch. Like why not just put it in the fridge man? I know “well it never hurt him!” But just why not refrigerate it

I know I will be in the minority on this one. I just fricking hate nausea worse than any feeling in the world. So I’m risk adverse as hell when it comes to food safety.

Cooked a pizza for lunch yesterday. Put half of it in the microwave for safe keeping. Just finished that half a little while ago. Will let you know how it goes...

Yes. I do try to make sure the car will be reasonably well cooled though.
And pizza is like an anti-bacterial. You can eat that shite sitting out on the counter for days.

They only bring this chart out when talking about kids/pets in locked vehicles, but within 30 minutes, a car becomes exactly the same temp restaurants use for their heat lamps
