Daily tipping rant

I had a new one tonight. Went to dinner and when the check came, I wasn't paying attention so I filled in the tip line and put the total in the next blank line, only to find out that the next blank line was a "+ kitchen tip" line. The check had the standard 18%, 20% 22% suggestions at the bottom. Am I supposed to tip 20% for the standard tip, the add something for the kitchen tip and if so, is it a percentage, a few bucks...? Is there a standard for this (note, I just left the standard 20%+ tip, and crossed out the kitchen tip this time).

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE HOSTESS TOO

Went to Kura Sushi today and if you’ve ever been there then you’ll know that they use robots to deliver drinks and the sushi is delivered via conveyor belt. Very little human interaction outside of being led to your seat.
I still tipped 10% but I feel like a dunce.

They always get me when they out a round of beers for the kitchen in the menu.
I can’t resist. Probably don’t even give those guys the beers.

Man I am so bummed China Taste closed here.
Don’t get me wrong, the food was meh, but it was possibly the only place that didn’t ask for a damn tip. For that reason alone I went about once a month.

Probably an effort to placate the wait staff by not making them tip out to the kitchen. But what's going to happen is nobody is going to give two tips, and the kitchen staff will all go elsewhere.

The kitchen staff is salaried correct? The waitstaff gets that $2.30 an hour, right? I'm not tipping kitchen staff.

Bayou Beer Garden, scan the QR at your table. Order, Food delivered to your table. No interaction, just dropped and they’re gone.
In the check total is 16% tip, no way to alter or remove. And of course there’s option to tip further. What a racket !
