Jax Classic
I guess event organizers wanted LSU to help the Jax Classic

I don't see any reason to play in the Vegas one, that's too far away

Did you miss the part where we're going to a different Peak Events tournament?

We're supposed to be playing in Vegas in the next couple of years. I know Jay was tired of playing in Texas every year, so maybe he requested they switch it up.

LSU lived in Texas last season with the game in Arlington, Frisco, at Aggies and at Horns.
It's good for recruiting I guess.

Las Vegas might be good for recruiting as well

Maybe our pitching wasn't as good as advertised that's why we not playing in Texas. Just a guess on my part lol..

We sign like 5 California kids a year. You don't think that plays a part in wanting to play in Vegas?

Not to mention one current player and one commit from Vegas.

Or the 2 kids from New Mexico, or kid from Arizona.

Why would make that assumption on August 8, 2025?

Interesting. I was chatting with my yard guy today and he mentioned his son is doing travel ball in Georgia. I asked him why would a Texas kid need to go all the way to Georgia. He said that’s the big destination for travel ball due to all the talent on the east coast where scouts show up in droves. If that’s accurate, I suppose Jacksonville makes sense.

I still doubt the word of a dad touting his son’s travel ball development program, but yard guy also turned my attention to what sounded like the best young prospect in the game - Stryker Pence. The guy is already over 6 foot 6 and is touching 100. If his name seems familiar, it’s Hunter’s nephew. He’s a California kid.

It’s now noteworthy that Stryker Pence lives a mere 4 hrs from Vegas.

Conclusion? Trust Jay.

Hopefully its the Minute Maid Classic in Houston again. That's always a fun trip.

I usually listen to Hold That Tiger 10 and that's what he said this past year when LSU won the Natty.

Corpus Christi and San Antonio want us to play there but I dont know of any tournaments in either one. It would be fun to see LSU fans on the Riverwalk in SA calling it a bayou and trying to swim the 5 yards across it!!!
