First post here and y'all will probably send me to the gallows but here goes!

If LSU loses against Clemson, it SHOULDN'T be the end of the world. We are playing a top 5 team, on the road, at night. Klubnik is maybe the only QB in College Football better than Nuss, and they have what I expect to be a top 3 defense in College Football. There is no two ways around it, Clemson is a damn good team.

The problem is, if we do lose, it WILL be the end of the world. Losing 4 straight season openers is diabolical, especially when 2022 and 2024 are easily winnable games. (2023 FSU is somewhat acceptable) Had BK won '22 and '24, losing this game against Clemson wouldn't be nearly the catastrophe it will be if he does lose. BK backed himself into this corner and now has to pull off a win in what is surely our toughest opener of his tenure at LSU. Can he do it? I am definitely skeptical. But I do think even with a loss, we have the talent in what is a weaker SEC this year to still make the playoff. And if we somehow pull out 11 straight wins after the Clemson loss and get a top seed in the playoff, then BK can maybe actually take a breath!

his buyout would be between 60-70 million. He's not going anywhere for now

People that suggest a buyout are those people that believe money is never an object.

This is why CBK took the contract, he knows LSU will not buy him out until maybe year 6 or 7, so he is just coasting along. Why should he GAF if he wins or loses an opener. Now he has said this is his best roster, so he will have another 9-4 season and hope he walks away with 60mil.... CBK is not the fit for LSU.

You cannot make your whole offseason motto be beating Clemson and then turn around and lose that game. Brian Kelly said orange Clemson paw prints titled beat Clemson is all over the facility. This is lsu going 6 straight years with an opening loss is fricking unacceptable. Kelly has to win this game

I agree that a road loss to a top 5 Clemson team to start the season would not have a significant impact on season long goals.

But the fanbase and BK himself really needs to avoid an 0-1 start again.

Whether fair or not that’s the reality.

Its ok to question if he is the guy to get it done, i do now, but anyone who thinks he is just coasting along after this off-season is a fricking idiot

So LSU just continues to lose openers? Why in the hell did Scott Woodward give him this contract? I am over Brian Kelly. He is a good offensive coach but he's been at LSU four years. I hope I am wrong.. but for four years we have talked about a weak OL. It's the same stuff.

Here is the issue with the previous opening losses. LSU came out flat and apparently not prepared for the season. This is unacceptable. BK better have this team ready to play. If they slug it out and lose by one score, I can understand this, but if LSU comes out like they did the last two years, then the fan base will be screaming.

If he loses this one & we go 6-2 in SEC & miss the playoffs. His seat will be red hot

If he loses this one & we finish 11-1, nobody will care. (maybe some boo birds at the Tech game)

If you really believe that, you are an idiot.

Everyone says that because it is true.

Doubtful.

Your comments are absolutely ridiculous!! Why would he care if he wins or not? There’s something called pride! It’s an attribute that most if not all men have. You can tell by the way he talks and carries hisself that he’s a winner.

I’m not gonna act like I’m his biggest fan cause I think he came into the program and got rid of some of the best ppl in the room to only hire a few back…. I hate losing as much as any other fan!! The cliche of he’s not a fit…one it’s frickin dumb as frick to say cause it has no weight!!! It’s been said many times before…Saban came from Michigan St…the only thing that matters is winning frick a fit
