Wildlife agents seize, kill family’s “pet”
Note: I searched "deer", "LWF", "nak", and "buck" the first 4 pages of OT threads and only hit on a poster's name. I did my Germans diligence.
quote:
A man was criminally charged and fined $1,650 after Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents discovered a deer on their property that he and his family had nursed back to health after its mother abandoned the animal seven years ago.
quote:
The man’s wife, Jaci Sibley, said a woman in Baton Rouge found the deer in her garden. The woman asked them to take the deer since they have a large piece of property in Livingston Parish. The Sibleys said over the years, the deer named “Little Buck” became part of the family. Even though the deer was blind, it was free to leave but never did.
quote:
State Wildlife and Fisheries issued the following statement:
Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Enforcement Agents received information about a deer in a pen at Mr. Sibley’s residence. Agents made contact with Mr. Sibley on Dec. 22 and found the partially blind deer in a fenced-in area on his property. Agents issued Mr. Sibley a citation for illegal possession of a wild game quadruped, which carries a $250 to $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail. He was also charged with civil restitution for the deer, totaling $1,624. An LDWF biologist was called to the residence, and he seized the captive deer.

Yeah this is the kind of shite La LEO needs to be focusing on.

LDWF is not a good and just LE organization. They've proven time and again they don't actually care about preservation and conservation of the wildlife and fisheries in this state. At one time I'm sure they did. But not now. I know a few agents but I never even have surface level conversations with them. I do not want them to know anything about me.

LDWF = Sheriff of Nottingham = enemy of the people

Land of the free, unless of course you commit any one of a million infractions overseen by hundreds and thousands of state and federal enforcement agencies.

And Wildlife and Fisheries is the worst at excusing all manners of dishonorable conduct by following those Byzantine regulations

This snitch needs something a stitch can't fix

The charges and fine were dismissed. Sounds like it was too late for the animal, though.
The LDWF worries about crap like this- in a time when if you dig a pond in your own yard, 2 weeks later there's likely going to be a fresh gator lounging in it.

WTF? There had to be someone that someone in that house pissed off for them to call LWF.
Is a half blind deer putting anyone in harms way? Even if its an illegal animal to own, there is nothing in the law that says anything about caring for an injured animal.. Actually, you can make an argument if it doesn't mention anything about caring for an injured animal.. Right?
You would think LWF would use this law in away that gives them the right to handle situations in which someone has some type of animal that is a clear threat.
Can deer catch any type of virus that could be harmful to other people's pets or something like that? Otherwise this is a bitch move.
