As far as sub chains go, Firehouse has always been my favorite, followed by Jersey Mike’s, then Jimmy John’s and Subway being dead last and honestly trash. Had the Italian Nightclub toasted at Jimmy John’s the other day and man what a difference it made. Moved them up to second on my list for sure.

Jimmy Johns has always been way better than Subway which I consider to be on the same level as dog food. I might have to go try the toasted sub now

Jersey Mike's has Cheeseteak though. And it's cooked on the grill.

I am sure that won't last long now that Jersey Mike's was bought by private equity.

I'm holding on to cautious optimism as I really haven't noticed any changes since the purchase

They will only toast certain sandwiches not all of them like Subway.

Jimmy Johns is a few steps above subway. It's good, but places like Cheba Hut and Jersey Mikes blow it out of the water.

Jersey Mikes > Cheba Hut >>> Jimmy Johns >>>>>Subway

Definitely an exaggeration. It’s way below dog food.

I like Jersey Mikes fine but I don't understand why anyone would consider it miles better than JJ

JJ has better bread, equally/fresher ingredients and the stores are cleaner/better run for the most part. I won't argue that JJ is outright better, but I'm just not sure where the gulf of difference is supposed to come from. JJ is boring in a good way IMO.

Lost me at this one. JM bakes bread fresh daily, slices all veggies the same day and cuts the meat/cheese fresh when you order it. Not sure how much more fresh you want it

Jimmy Johns is the worst food I have ever paid money for. I don't hate Subway.

No way. JJ's bread is just a hair better than subway. Hell, it might not even be better. Jersey Mike's bread gives you more options and is better / fresher. And Jersey Mike's slices all their meat when you order it. No idea how you came to that conclusion.

Do they still do that thing where they arrange ingredients so you take one bite of the sandwich and everything falls out?

So does JJ. They sell their day old loaves for $.50.

JJ’s wheat bread is the absolute shite. It’s like Dave’s Killer Bread on steroids. I love it. I bet it is outstanding toasted. I may have to stop by soon.

JJs not having pickles is a problem for me- I love pickles on my sandwich. Jimmy peppers are ok, but not the same as dill pickles.

Jimmy John's 100% has pickles.
