How many languages are spoken in your home area?

In Harris County which is primarily Houston, 145 languages are spoken at home. I have trouble just naming more than 10.

English, Spanish, a little Korean thanks to the Hyundai plant, and a metric shite ton of ebonics.

English, Spanish, ebonics, and whatever the frick my wife calls it when she yells from the other side of the house to ask me to get whatever the hell it is she wants but I can't understand because it sounds like gibberish with shite in her mouth.

I thought of 15. I actually know someone who speaks each of these. I work at a hospital and our staff is very diverse. 100% no surprise here.

I thought it was up to 163 different languages were spoken in Houston?

If your Koreans are like our Koreans, they make less than zero attempt to assimilate. so the Korean language is a non factor. I assume most can speak English but not sure.
non English speaking Hispanics are a pox.

Between the university and Oak Ridge employing people from all over the world I'm sure every major language has some representation.

40% Coonass English
25% Redneck English
30% Ebonics English
5% Cajun French
