I’d enjoy if we wore the traditional uniforms more often than not this year

I grew very tired of the alternates last year, just one man’s opinion.

Yeah I don’t hate it when we wear an alternate every once in awhile and I always liked the tradition of the purple jersey for non conference home games but last year was over the top. I mean every damn game it seemed we were wearing something different. I especially hate the white pants with the gold helmet that we wore vs Army in 2023 and against South Alabama last year. It’s hideous.

I have to assume part of the reason we wore so many alternates is because we were bad. The more eyes that are on us, the more you'll see Gold/White/Gold.
But I agree, I absolutely hated the frequency at which we wore alternates last season.

I used to have issues with the white helmet and pants and purple jerseys, but they looked good in LSU's last home game under the lights and in the Texas Bowl last year. And Wikipedia seems to indicate that uniform as being the official color alternate.

Nah, Gold pants and helmet with purple jerseys was the only alternate through most of my life.

It basically is as of the last couple of years.
ETA: I still think there might be an old gold color something this year, but maybe not. Nike is also doing LSU clothes in a cream color and I know LSU isn't wearing cream.

Hate to break it but the alternates aren’t going anywhere.
Y’all are dying on the same hill as thinking NIL will be amended or reeled in..
Younger players love it, every single recruiting picture is in an alternate. So given the current CFB direction, unfortunately that’s the way it will inevitably be for 2-3 games a year.
At the very least we have great colors and a beautiful helmet regardless of color. We just have to pray that they never EVER try to incorporate black

Weren't they wearing a special material in that last home game that reflected the lights differently??

All these color combinations uniforms are expensive and needless waste of money. Get rid of white helmets, gold jerseys and white pants. Always wear gold helmets and gold pants and only alternate the white jerseys to purple on rare occasions.

We wore “alternates” the majority of games last year. That ain’t alternate anymore
