I love the mods, via console, and stuff, but i find myself making it like Minecraft, after getting control of the crafting bench, i cannot stop myself from making sure every place is well armed, well stocked with food, water, and beds.

I use a scrapping mod, so i get every dirt pile, scrap piece of steel, etc, it all goes, and a new fresh look. if i was only as creative with minecraft, i would play that

I cannot stop myself from making every hosing complex out of concrete, and everyone the same cookie cutter housing area. its like i ctrl+copy,ctrl-Paste every site.

And my new, futuristic thing to do, is put the generator and stuff on the roof, out of sight.

And yes, this game is a really bad step and fetch, the minutemen quests are so boring, and saving people gets so lame. this could of been done so much better

i've always joined the faction, but can i be enemies with every faction, except minutemen, or do i need some for main quest. railroad, brotherhood of steel, etc are weak, and that dude from police station from BOS, has triggered me to point of just wanting to kill him as soon as game begins. (if he can be killed)

It’s my favorite game of all time. After playing it once you may want to take a break then play again in survival mode as that adds more difficulty but more fun.

You can join any faction and it does not affect the main story. You can even join more than one.

i always join them all, except the synth dudes, i shoot on site.

i was curious if i can be all of their enemy, stay minutemen, but be #1 target for bos, enclave, railroad, etc

I was going to when they said the “next gen” update had ultrawide support. Then all they did was edit the ini file so the HUD got absurdly stretched. frick ‘em

My favorite game as well. I've spent most of my time on settlements. I really like arranging things on a shelf.

There is a deep rabbit hole going can go down with settlement building and electricity, switches, sirens, etc. Stuff like re routing power from water purifiers to laser turrets during a raid, effectively doubling your capacity in each settlement.

Very in depth system that I really enjoyed

That;s one thing i haven't done. I already spend 20-30 minutes per settlement just to get it going and everyone happy.

One of my all time favorite games.

After playing survival mode, I don’t think I can ever play it on regular difficulty again.

It makes you realize that the game mechanics are seemingly made for it. Eating and drinking to keep your vats points up, building settlements to be able to sleep and save while you’re trying to make your way across the wasteland and stopping there to go around where deathclaw spots, etc

I keep it downloaded at all times, my go to when I can't decide on something to play so I'll wander around the commonwealth for an hour or so

Far Harbor is a great DLC

Nuka-World DLC gets hate, but I enjoyed it

One of my all time favorites. Do you have the ultimate edition with all of the add-ons? Nuka World is fun.

This doesn't take that long. Things like Nuka Cola bottles and all the alcohol bottles are fun to display. I also like collecting all the different toys, robot models, and junk food. One of the dlcs even has weapon cases so you can display those too.

Literally started it for the first time about 2 weeks ago. It’s addicting. I’ll play for a few hours and then build for a few hours.

It’s awesome that mods are super easy to find an d install.

I have an Xbox S. I was thinking of trying to install Sim Settlements for my next play through. I’ve never installed a mod before. Has Anyone tried this? Is it workable on an Xbox?

yes, mods are easy, to use, and any questions, they have mod order pages you can find, so you can figure out if it needs to be first, second, etc.

always check for a update just for that mod, some times the game can crash when you enter areas, because of a mod.

lots of good mods out there

With mods, it is my favorite fallout even though I hated everyone. The story was very weak and I hated how every faction wanted you to abandon every other faction. Excuse me, I can help the railroad and still help other people.

The brotherhood were dicks. The institute were dicks.

Shut up Preston! Let me have a minute to myself. I think the last time I played I had a mod that toned him down so he didn't call for settlement help every 5 minutes.

Scrap everything mod was my key mod. I liked building so I needed endless supplies and scrap everything gave it to me.

The mod that made it easier to daisy chain all of your traders so you could use your complete inventory to build everywhere. That mod was great.

I think about the 3rd time I played the game, I discovered a synth that i had absolutely NO clue they were a synth. That was fun.

Did they ever fix the bug that caused your settlement defense to fail if you killed the raiders too fast? with scrap everything, i had enough resources to put the good turrets EVERYWHERE and the second a raiding party showed up they were instantly obliterated within a second and the game wouldn't register the win and it would decide you failed and the settlement would be destroyed. That was not fun. If you could get to the settlement fast enough, you could respawn the last raider and kill them again to get the all clear. If not, massive damage to the settlement even though the actual attack did zero damage.

Oh Bethesda we love your bugs.

Been firing it up about once or twice a year since it came out. Ready for a new one desperately. Couldn’t get into fallout 76

Once I figured out the the wiring system with the pipes and radiators, I spent an embarrassing amount of time rewiring all my settlements. I used the mods that removed settlement size limits and the one that raised populations up to 50 (I think).

But to someone else's post, I was near the end of Fog Harbor and a bug froze the game. All my save and auto save files immediately close the game when loading. The only one that doesn't is right when I started Harbor, which wouldn't be a big deal except for the fact I spent so much time and effort on the settlements there. I haven't picked the game back up since, maybe one day.
