All package deliveries to a home should be brought to like an Amazon Locker

“Oh you weren’t home on a Tuesday at 2:13pm? I guess I’ll leave you a post it note on your door while your package floats around various trucks and goes back to the regional distribution center while you call our customer service line and click through the menu for twenty minutes before getting hung up on because you can’t recite your tracking number fast enough and you can’t remember the password for our app to request a redelivery because every fricking action in this day and age needs its own app.”

I'm about to blow your mind.
Garage. Delivery.
Garage. Delivery.

You know UPS and Fedex have their own websites, right? So you can type on a keyboard like an adult? But, this sounds like this the weekly USPS thread.

Obviously you only do this if you have cameras set up.

This sounds like a plan for disaster. You want the avg Amazon driver having access to your garage/house?

It’s almost like Amazon figured this out and put them at Whole Foods.

And man, this post sounds like I'm 80 years old

Amazon? Always figured you as a wayfair guy

Because you want the low IQ types opening your garage?

I just bought a new home and a lot of carriers haven't figured out my address yet. Well Amazon has turned to shite. First they got my address right, now they are delivering my packages to this home 10 minutes away. As you can tell from the photo, the guy opens his door and receives the package knowing it wasn't his. He didn't say anything. I have 4 pictures like this of Amazon delivering my packages to the wrong house across town. They are offering me refunds but I keep requesting a replacement. Amazon is paying for it so if they can't get it right, it's their money. I can easily pull up my address on google maps. Why can't Amazon. I keep telling Amazon I live in a brand new house, not that dirty shite they delivered my packages to.

They don't get to open it themselves. They scan the package, Amazon verifies their location and the door opens, they leave the package and the door closes. For me, all that activity is on camera.
I can't think of anything that could go wrong for me to regret it.

With a one time code, on camera, with Amazon over the top tracking them?
Sure. Have a clear spot by the garage door, and lock the house. Don’t leave your wife’s jewelry and your birth certificate out there and the risk of the heavily identified Amazon worker stealing your toolbox is far lower than packages disappearing off your porch.

All they need to do is allow the recipient to select whichever carrier they prefer. And the corresponding prices. I’d absolutely pay more to avoid USPS

It's everyone else's fault that you can't remember your password.
