Got a quote for 4 tires and I’m shooketh. Any up and coming tires that aren’t an arm and a leg? I remember getting some Yokohama’s before they got popular and they were cheap and fantastic.

TIA

What size/weight rating do you need, and what brand/model do you currently have?

Currently have KO2’s but want something a little less aggressive.

Appreciate the tire priority tip. Will check them out!

Definitely shop around. Most good places price match if you have a favorite place. Seems dumb, but we use a dealership here because they will price match Sam's/Costco and include the road hazard free. And we've already gotten a plug and 2 replacements off the last set I bought.

Unfortunately right now... It's rough.

I ended up getting mine from where I got my side by side.

Guy hooked me up but couldn't mount them.

Cooper Discoverer A/T @ Walmart. Take them elsewhere to get mounted.

Indeed. Discount Tire will price match. I bought a new set last week. Saved about $140/tire when said and done. Find a good deal online and use their chat feature online. I got a quote, paid for tires, and set appointment all within under 10 min.

I hate tires. I feel like I spend a couple grand every other year on tires.

A co-worker just replaced his worn ridge grapplers with Deliente bandit RT’s. He claims they feel the same on pavement and gravel? Too early to tell on longevity.

I went with those and even let Walmart mount them. I really like them, even after coming from KO2’s.
Our local Walmart has pretty good rep. They did it fast and did a good job, actually. Got 50$ off for signing up with W+. Canceled that after a month.

Discount tire is second to none. Search their massive catalog find exactly what to want. They honor/match others lower prices. Make appt online. Very nice and clean waiting areas. It’s almost fun…..

Not to mention free road force balancing, tire rotation and puncture repair.

Sumitomo Encounter A/T. Have these on my son's ranger and they are great. FYI Sumitomo makes falken. Nearly identical to the wildpeak.

my local Walmart is pretty good with mounting, I've used them with 3 vehicles.
Walmart online selection is good, order and get them installed when they come in.

A potential benefit of Walmart is road hazard... there's probably a thousand Walmarts with auto in the country. You dont need to be near home.

The local tire shops around here use the same labor pool as walmart. And walmart is cheaper. Just have to hope you get someone who GAF.
