What is your preferred means of communication in a work setting? This is excluding internal communication because some of that can be done verbally or via calls.

Text me concisely.
Then if it's very important, call me. If you can't fit it in a text to explain it it probably needs an in person conversation anyway.

Endless pointless MS Teams meetings where we talk about all the work that needs to be done.

Text or email.

Text or email. I want a record of what you said and what I said. It's amazing how stories can change and I love pulling out my phone and saying "see, you said this"

It depends. Email for simple or to have record of it; call for easier explanation or don’t really want record of it.

Email or Teams message as I want a record of the conversation/request. Do not call me. I'm likely already working on something and your emergency isn't usually my emergency.

Seems like calling is majority outnumbered. Thought I was in the minority but nope!
Phone calls are extremely pointless unless it’s a long story and has more than two paragraphs of text. Even then you better just send an email as well. You’re wasting your time calling me.

If it takes more than one back and forth text or email, I pick up the phone and call or walk down the hall and have a conversation.
Voice communication is still the quickest way to get shite done most of the time. Email is last esp if it’s more than a couple sentences. People don’t read or reply to long winded emails.

Mostly email.
But I throw in a phone call about once a month or so. Turns out people like talking to people.

Depends if I like the person or not.
If I like them, or am neutral, I welcome a call.
If I don't like them, email is probably best. If not, then face to face meeting, because the reason I don't like them is I don't trust them.
