Am I the only single digit handicap that plays the Callaway supersoft?

I’m a 6 and according to trackman my driver swing speed is 105-110 so no big time stud here
I love the supersoft, it spins great around the green and doesn’t fly way off line on drives. It might be 5-10 yards shorter off the tee than the prov1 but considering it’s less than 1/2 the price I don’t really care about that. I don’t notice any difference on irons than a premium ball and I actually think it bites better with my wedges than the prov1 or the TP5

That is actually really good speed.
I’m at 9.9 index, but my speed is probably around 80.
I play supersoft sometimes.
Of the non-urethane golf balls, it is a good choice.
Try the TP Speedsoft. It’s similar.

That ball has to be hurting you. For your swing speed, soft = slow, and there's no way it spins around the green like a urethane covered ball.

If you don’t find it’s hurting your game keep playing it. I’ve seen guys who can’t break 90 blowing through pro v1x left dash balls and single digits almost breaking par with noodles.

Speaking of Maxfli's, a buddy gave me a sleeve of the new ones. They are legit.

You're free to choose any ball for your game, but to optimize your scoring, consider that a 10-yard difference equates to nearly a full club. It’s a scientifically established fact that shot dispersion increases with longer irons

I’m not trying to be an arse but how on Earth are you swinging that slow? I feel like any turn and whip would put you above that.

Im guessing one of you guys are talking about swing speed with a driver and the other is talking about with a 7 iron

Don't know for sure but he has hinted at being an older fella that plays from the seniors so probably an appropriate swing speed. Could be completely wrong in who I'm remembering saying that though.

Yeah maybe. I don’t frequent golf board that much so don’t know the regulars

You're losing a club of distance playing that ball, which is a big deal, especially for a lower handicap trying to shave more strokes. If you're a true 6, you aren't losing many balls. No reason to go cheap at that point.
I've hit the supersoft a few times and the ball seems to hit its peak and just drops out of the sky for me. Similar clubhead speed to you. 4.7 index.

Try the tours. I like them a lot and big fan of callaway ball

Just talent I guess.
I have a bad back. I don’t really know my speed, but from carry tables it is closer to 80 than 90.
I don’t use words like “hard” or “hit” because they make my swing to “sudden” or “quick.”
I do better just feeling the swing. If I try to add any extra to it, it becomes either a hook or a banana.
I also have a three wood shaft on my driver. Allows me to find the ball almost every time. Of course, the driver head is covered with lead tape.

^absolutely
It is what it is.
At some point, I’ll move up again.

Yeah I wasn’t trying to poke fun or anything just curious. I feel like I swing worse when I’m slower bc it doesn’t feel athletic anymore

Enjoy the days of your youth. Father Time is a +15 index and has never lost a match.
The only good thing about getting older and the swing speed going down is the dispersion goes down too! It also makes walking easier since it’s a shorter distance to walk from the tee to my ball. You also get to have many club head covers as you gain experience over a lifetime.
I never go OB. Ball can’t fly that far.
Big hitters can find the white stakes, I can find the trees on the other side of the cart path.

I don’t have a high ball flight so that’s actually a benefit for me

Same. I hit them if I find them. I want to like them because the colors are vibrant and easy to spot at a distance but they are so soft at impact it feels like I’m hitting air, or at worst a Jet Puffed.

I play the white ones not the matted colored ones.
It sounds like some of you guys actually have good touch and feel, congrats to you. Unfortunately for me, I have stone hands and need all the softness I can get

I’m not sure I would go that far. I think I’m just so used to hitting range balls that if I hit something that’s softer than a steel ball bearing I can’t tell if I actually hit anything.
