According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, on Wednesday, July 16, detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, in coordination with the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General, arrested Devante Carter, 30, of Gonzales. He is charged with four counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, one count of possession of pornography involving juveniles, and three counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
On June 3, detectives with the ICAC Taskforce received a case stemming from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding pornography involving juveniles. During the investigation, detectives executed a search warrant and discovered that Carter had downloaded multiple videos of child pornography and sexual abuse of an animal. He was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.

This one always gives me pause. The child stuff of course, throw the book at this guy. But the animal issue is more complicated. Legally, the law doesn't consider an animal capable of giving consent. To me that's ludicrous. Some animals definitely want it. There should be some leeway if you can show that the animal was into it.
Hell, the way the law is written you could be raped by a goat and end up in jail.

Seems like a local is getting busted for child porn every other day around here. Good job by the police. It's becoming very disturbing how many of these perverted freaks are among us.

I'm not so sure. I think access to porn, amplified by technology in the last 2 decades has greatly contributed to our declining social and moral values. And this hyper perverse behavior is more and more normalized like when pedos are referred to as "minor attracted persons" and crap like that. I think it's much worse now than in the past.

Let me preface this by saying that I think child molesters and abusers should get the death penalty.
But what keeps corrupt police or political enemies from simply “finding” child pornography on your computer. It would be easy to plant. Then, even if you are acquitted, you have your name permanently discredited by these charges.

That's why the cops spend significant time investigating, usually at least a month or more, after receiving a tip
You never hear of a person getting caught with just simply having the media on their computers. The cops make damned sure they have evidence of the pervert actively sending and/or receiving the bad stuff.

It's bad when you can't get off looking at straight porn. Watching trannies and gay pron is bad. Watching child porn is unforgivable to me. Watching, and participating in animal porn means you should have sought help years ago. If YOU are needing an extra kick in your porn viewing, get help today.
