Paywall, unless you work for the Athletic, please tell us who they have as #1

These are the “Tier 1” guys, per the article:

1. Klubnik
2. Nuss
3. Sellers
4. Mateer
5. Lagway
6. Allar
7. Leavitt
8. Jennings
9. Hoover
10. Manning

I’m holding my breath on Nuss until he can actually perform well in a road game against a hostile environment and not piss his pants.

That looks like a reasonable assessment, though I am not sure Klubnik has proven any more than Nuss.

Damn, I consider myself fairly knowledgeable on college football and I had to look up who Hoover was. The Big 12 has taken a huge fall

Refreshing to not see Manning anywhere near 1.

We shall see in a few weeks how they look. If the O-line comes together for Nuss, watch out.

I tried to go back and disprove this but honestly, you’re right. Although his stat line wasn’t too bad against UF. He certainly didn’t piss himself.

he played lights out in the bowl game, which I know isn’t a road conference game. If that was a sign of what’s to come, it should be a fun year.

Remember when he returned in the Oklahoma game ? I think/hope that was a turning point in his career.

Still weird Manning is in top 10. Surprised they didn’t just place that Underwood kid in there.

Heisman odds on FanDuel are +700 on Manning, +800 on Nuss.

$100 on Nuss can earn you $800.

I made $525 on an early $25 bet on Jayden Daniels. May be time to give it another go.

Nuss has to scramble more when there’s an easy 10 yards available

It’s not that weird. It might be annoying but it makes sense that he is projected to be a top 10 QB this year.

they don't know any more than the rest of us.

Just let the season play out - then we'll all know.

Based on what? 63 total completions and less than 1000 yards passing in his career?
