CBS: Deportation is a failure because less than 1% deported have murder convictions

I read the entire article. No where in it was there any sort of insinuation that deportation is a "failure". Not even the slightest insinuation. In fact, the article closed giving Tom Homan the last word. A word that made perfect sense.
I won't ask if you read the article or not, but all it did was offer some interesting numbers to chew on, that was it. And the most interesting number being this one. 140 thousand.

"In response to a CBS News inquiry, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin said ICE has now deported about 140,000 undocumented immigrants since Mr. Trump took office".
Now if Trump continues to deport at about his current rate, or maybe slightly higher. By the time he leaves office, he might reach 1.2 million deportations.
Depending on your source. There are between 11 million and 30 million illegals in this country. 1.2 million deportations is insignificant.
These people aren’t going anywhere.
That's the real story in this article.

It's dumb they're fighting so hard to keep criminals here. They need to focus on the non criminals being scooped up. I'm fine with getting rid of dangerous criminals, but throwing out students and people who seem to be genuinely trying to contribute seems dumb

You haven’t counted those who have and will self-deport, either with the financial offer from the government or without.
But beyond that, the REAL story is that the RADICALS who are officially called DEMOCRATS intentionally let into this country 20+ Million illegals, knowing how impactful it would be on citizens, especially lower class citizens, the huge number of people who were trafficked into the U.S., and the very nature of our republican style democracy.
They did all this for POWER but framed it as an empathic moral imperative for “social justice”.

2. Start massive, media covered immigration raids.
3. Cut off benefits like welfare, college tuition, etc.
4. Ramp up immigration raids.
Yes, we're on pace for 1.2 million deportations, but if its no longer comfortable for them to live here illegally (and its starting to get that way quick), you will easily have 10-15 million self deportations.
The money that has supported the illegal apparatus in this country is drying up quick. Once the checks stop, they will leave.
