Any of you guys ever eat at McDonald’s in another country?

I went to McDonald’s for lunch today and got a Big Mac, large fries, and a McFlurry.
I was just thinking about what McDonald’s does in other countries to try to cater to the local tastes that are popular in those countries. Is the menu significantly different? Is the way the restaurant is designed much different?

I ate at a McD’s in Paris. They just call them fries there.

I have a lot in Europe. It’s about the same. It was nice to have a taste of home when needed.
I think the Asian ones are the different ones. I’ll be going around there one day.

Ate an order of hash rounds from a Burger King in Grand Cayman. Nothing unique on the menu.

Yes. Had a delicious chicken teriyaki (?) sandwich in Tokyo. Had some type of pink potato sauce on it.

Poland, England, Italy, and China. All pretty much the same except China tried an Asian chicken wrap with some weird sauce in it.

yes , in many places. i rarely eat it here in the USA, but I lived in asia for 15 years for work and would go once a month or so for nostalgia or something .
yes its different, the designs are the exact same and the menu is mostly the same, with regional differences.
in chinese McDonalds they always sold these huge flat , fried chicken breasts that were actually really good.
they also have a lot of differently flavored sweets/ice creams such as red bean or green tea.
its mostly the same though, however the portions are MUCH smaller over there

I know Bourbon County is another world but were you at the McDonalds near the high school?

What do they call a quarter pounder with cheese?

Brazil. I don't speak a lick of Portuguese so luckily they have those virtual boards you can just order at. I don't recall it being too much different. Maybe a couple of different flavors or sauces you don't find here.

Had a beer and some fries at a McDs in La Palma after 12 days across the Atlantic.
The best nuggets I have ever had at one in Tokyo.
And snack wraps and bbq burger in London about 3 years ago.
I always enjoy stopping in one somewhere else after having some drinks and trying stuff we don’t get here.

You can get beer at McD’s in Europe, which is nice
But you have to pay for ketchup
And you pay to use the bathroom

I went to a McDs in Gijon Spain several years ago. They had beer on their menu. They had people smoking and drinking beer at the tables. Strange site to see.
