I don't see how a town can be this far behind. It's almost like some towns are behind on being behind.

No hate to the owners and community, it's just that breweries were a sign of growth 10-15 years ago. To just now be getting one is like missing the movement 5 years ago where people moved on. You're double behind.

I don't get it.

Slidell is basically new orleans, so, in a sense, theyve already had brewerys in therw town!

I understand, and I've grown up in this state, but it still baffles me.

I remember being frustrated in Ellick in high school (2006) on how behind everything was. There were pockets were things looked up, but it was like most people were under the impression that the internet was a fad or something.

Okay, that's fine, but by 2012 it was pretty obvious that the internet was permanent, and everyone needed to get on board. Rural Cenla folks even had internet access, but still it's like something just never clicked.

And I don't get that. I don't get how.

who remembers the ‘friends don’t let friends move to Slidell’ bumper stickers of the early 1990s

Maybe late 1980s

It's some type of something that I'm not sure about either.

Does every small city need a brewery? Nearby Abita, Mandeville, Covington and Hammond all had or have breweries. Was there a need for one in Slidell with those others nearby?

I have a memory of a brewery I thought was in Slidell. The Laughing Pines. Might be a false memory.

I think it’s a positive for Slidell’s Old Towne and I hope this will help revitalize that area.
I wish them success.
