Now show footage of the streets and the people laying in their own vomit.

Can confirm. New Orleans looks beautiful if viewed from very far away.

It’s a city. Absolutely stunning? I’m not sure about that.

That smell of the French Quarter on a summer morning. It was unique.

I always feel bad for people that only visit 5% of the city. Low IQ folks go the French Quarter and nowhere else.

I can remember as a kid 40 years ago when my parents would take us kids out to eat breakfast at the Old Coffee Pot restaurant. That unique smell of piss and vomit sure brings me back....

I just Googled it and apparently it closed 6 years ago. I vividly remember the old black lady waitresses being especially rude and being proud of it like it was required for the job.

I can see the beauty in it. There isn't a more architectural significant city in the USA than New Orleans. The litter and cleanliness take it down several notches.

As I get older, I really enjoy day trips to the Quarter then get outta there around 8 PM. We hit a restaurant, then a little day drinking mixed with some sight seeing. When the sun starts to go down, we start walking to the car.

Around 10:00 PM is when the tide really changes with the crowds. It's as if the gutter trash all get drunk and stoned at the crib early evening, then go hit the town for the last few hours.

Political corruption and ghettos. High crime, terrible schools, and a reputation for drunkenness.

Shocked professional sports teams have lasted this long. The only winning streak was a couple of fixed NFL seasons following Katrina in an effort to ‘rebuild’. Even Farve and Manning got in on the action.

I get off at the Carrolton exit heading to the river for work, and there was a homeless person's "belongings" right there near Costco that made it look like a garbage truck emptied its contents. After being there for weeks (maybe months), the city finally cleaned it up.

It was almost impressive how long that garbage was allowed to sit there at such a busy location.
