The Oxo one makes good coffee, it is smart about temperature and flow and such. It isn't fun to clean, but I've never had any coffee appliance that is. It does not have a heating element for the carafe, but I always drink it all right away.

There are other SCA brewers that make coffee as well as the Moccamaster but hard to go wrong with it. Prime Day just had them 50% off.

I've been in the Moccamaster with Encore grinder club for almost a decade, if one breaks, they will be replaced in kind.

Cuisinart 12-Cup Coffee Maker with Thermal Coffee Carafe, Stainless Steel DCC-3400NAS, Silver. About $120 on Amazon - brews great coffee and thermos carafe keeps it warm for hours without that burnt/scorched taste.

I've been pleased with the Oxo 8 cup brewer. Oxo makes an affordable burr grinder too. Good combo.

I’ve had a Breville with stainless carafe. No issues and works great. It will even do pour over option with attachment
