I mean it’s ok.
I just don’t understand the hype .
Was told this was the best chicken ever .

It’s just chicken.
Does not suck but don’t understand the lines .

Because I never make my final judgement on something after just 1 time .

I’m going to guess that they make good fried chicken without the Popeyes BS. That’s all people want.

Not worth waiting in line for in my opinion

Sadly not yet. Still under construction. Looks close to being done though.

I do the same thing just to give the place a chance, may be an off night or two. Case in point, Kartchner's boudin. Our entire family has tried this 3 times and it is still not good. It tastes like rice and gravy in a casing. Some here love it, great for them, but we'll stick to Don's and The Best Stop.

What's not to understand? It's pretty good fried chicken to most people. You're not in that group. Nothing wrong with that.

I can`t speak on the boudin at Kartchner's, but i did try their pepper jack boudin balls and they were great.

I did as well, and the jalapeno cream cheese boudin ball there is the best in the business.

Went today to try out. Walked up to the window, didn’t want to wait in line.
It was ok. Food was out fast, folks were very nice. Nice size portions, Cole Slaw was good, Grits, about the same.
Still had a good line of folks in the drive though.

I buy from there multiple times a year and have never had this experience.

I can understand liking these, but I have never found Don't to be nearly as good.

Kartchner's boudin
Since they're virtually across the street from each other, I decided to pick up boudin from each place and compare them side by side. I've been a loyal Best Stop fan for years, but I liked Kartchner's better that day.
