Ballard - Bosch spinoff on Prime all episodes out

The wife and I started it Friday and have watched 7 episodes so far. It's solid, Bosch shows up in 2 or 3 so far. Once they cast Maggie Q. it changed the books enough that Bosch wasn't needed as a mentor and I do feel like his character would suck the oxygen out of the show. He would have to be the lead if he was there even if they tried to write it as him just helping out the cold case unit. However, I would definitely watch a show where he is working a separate cold case gets to do his own thing for like half the episodes and they come together at some point.
Anyway, I recommend the show if you liked Bosch.

Loved Bosch and had no idea this came out. Thanks!

Watched Bosch and Bosch Legacy. Might give this one a shot.
Honestly surprised the didn't make one centered around the daughter.

It's basically Bosch-lite.
It's a good watch if you liked the Bosch series, but it's far from great.

I am as well, but I am glad they didn't. They made her character insufferable. Even my wife came to hate her, and my wife is all about strong lady types. That is a very telling sign of how much they ruined Maddy.

Isn't she Bosch's Legacy? I think they wanted to giver her storylines - but she is not a good enough actor to carry her own show.
I once worked at a signing convention that the actress attended - when she was on Walking Dead. I think she was like 11 or 12 at the time? I worked a table across from her. The amount of obvious pedos paying to get a photo touching her made me really uncomfortable. She had handlers but no parent. Next to her was the boy from Walking Dead with his father. I remember having a long talk with him about it.

New series pitch:
Dana Brody meets Maddy Bosch in a new dramedy of down and out broadway actresses sharing an apartment together in the Bronx.
Working Title: I hate both you bitches.

Ballard is pretty good. Has the same LA vibe as Bosch. A lot of feminime energy and perspective. A little too focused woke at times. Maggie Q is pretty good in it.

I was thinking Chandler would get a spinoff, but this show looks like it will be an enjoyable ride with some expected twists (finally saw E1 last night)

The way she judged her father for what he did during combat felt forced and out of place, especially after what he did for her. Her character went from somewhat normal in Bosch to that self-righteous attitude she had during Bosch Legacy.

I had no clue that she played Sophia until I just Googled it.

Pure woke feminist fantasy down to the gay male friend and the woke rich male friend that supportive
Has the quirky, smart Cat Lady empath, the angry black lesbian
I'm down to the last episode and just some of the script writing,, must have hired 13 year old girls to add words after the script was complete
its awful
Maggie is

I came here to basically write all of this. It’s infuriating, and I think I’m going to quit. Every single white guy so far is either incompetent, a bad guy or an a-hole…except for the gay one.
Verdict…
