Canvas tent anyone?

Just returned from a weeklong trip in the smokies and our car camping tent has given up the ghost.
We typically camp typically 25/30 nights a year. AR, LA, and up the east cost typically along the blue ridge are where we head for now.
State parks and national parks are our typical bases.
Space/weight isn’t an issue since this is specifically for car camping.
Before I just pick up another nylon tent, canvas has peaked my interest. Specifically Kodiak and springbar. Anyone using either or a similar style?
Current tent is a Big Agnes Tensleep station.

Following. We have two tents now but for cold weather camping the canvas has my interest. I’ve got an ancient two man pop up tent that I used about a month ago, and a 5 man when I take both my boys. They’re fine for 3 season camping, but we went twice in the fall and both times the overnight low was high 30s or low 40s. The youngest doesn’t care but my older boy asked me if the next time we went could it be a little warmer.

I have a the Kodiak 8 person tent. Set up takes about 20 mins with two people. We use it for a hunting camp and leave up from October to February. Much better than nylon tents for winter, and tons of room inside.

I spent two miserable nights in a canvas tent in Utah, no sheep herder stove in ours so it almost snowed inside every night and was damp as hell in it. In cold winter you need the stove for sure.
I also had a Great Western by Eureka that would sleep six and I could set it up by my self in less than ten minutes. This was far better than heavy canvas.

I have a Kodiak Canvas tent and it’s great. I mostly use it on hunting trips out West. I heat it with a Buddy Heater, but I shut the heater down when I go to sleep. The drawback for Eastern camping with canvas is that it takes longer to dry out if you’ve had rain or heavy dew and need to pack it up.

Back in the 60’s we had one, i remember coming home and painting the water proofing on it. They were great. A little heavy, but a popup had much of the same material.

I have a Kodiak 10x10 VX Deluxe and I am just blown away with it. I bought it in 2020 and I've probably spent 80-100 nights in it. I forego my dad or uncles travel trailer so I can sleep in the tent.
Once I didn't realize I was setup over a bowl that was around 6" deep. I camped all weekend. It had stormed immediately after I set it up and it wasn't until I tore it down that I saw this huge bowl filled with water. No water seeped through the floor or anything. Completely dry.
Also instead of pounding and pulling stakes I use 3/8" 10" lag screws and a battery impact.

I also use the screws in place of stakes.

Thanks for the feed back. That tent is on my shortlist. Springbar classic Jack is the other.
I like the extra vestibule option better on the Kodiak.

Following:
Interested in large canvas also for 4 adults in winter. Only concern is the drying it out aspect.

99.9% sure a classic jack 100 is the route we’re going to go.

Check out Davis Tents. Made in the USA. Little pricey but it’s been great. Wish I had more time to go to the mountains and use it more. Go Tent is perfect for 2 people but have multiple different options. Customer service is also great so if have any questions just call them.
