Yesterday the delivery to the office was in a 23 bmw 8 series. Today I knew I would end up there at some point so had more items delivered to avoid weekend crowds, we both pulled up at the same time. Three people in a new qx80. Still had dealer plates.

WTF are these people thinking?

How does it make any financial sense?

And before the OT says do your own shopping... We do. But if it only costs me 10 bucks to avoid weekend crowds at costco, I'll happily spare that.

Fools and their money are soon parted. Meanwhile my dumbass is sitting at Galaxycon in New Orleans paying for autographs from people because my son wanted to come.

intstacart is a literally goldmine just like the trades. My cousins brother's friend makes $400k a year and works 4 days a week. College is for suckas.

Because Americans are addicted to shiny things.

When my aunt became too senile to drive, we sold her 1990s Oldsmobile 98 with 77k miles for (originally) $4k. Sat on craigslist for 3 months before we dropped it all the way to $2k. Some Arab guy bought it for his daughter. He was thrilled, went on & on about how good of an engine the 3800 v6 was (true).

His daughter came too, she seemed devastated lol

You mean temporary tags. Dealer plates are special license plates that are issued to auto dealers and their employees to be used on dealership owned units.

I could be wrong, but I’d guess a lot of people who do uber eats, also do regular uber where it might make a little bit more sense to have a nicer car.

Still a weird decision to me about where to spend your money, but I guess it’s not quite as bad if you do drive people for a living as well.

Seth Micheals picked me up in Jacksonville Fl. driving a Porsche Cayenne. I asked if Uber paid that well and he replied he's in the movie industry and driving uber just to do something during the strike. This was June of 2023. I had to google him but he wasn't lying.
I also have a friend who was a doctor in Venezuala and moved back to the states. He drove Uber just to stay busy while getting his licenses squared away here.

They don’t, at least in Birmingham. Next question.
