Such a shame but I understand why! Lots of shoplifting.

I thought it was so kids wouldnt stab each other with the razors or try to eat the soaps like in those viral tik tock videos they used to do

The Canal Street New Orleans location has been doing this since the early 90's

And then you'll never be able to find an associate when you need one, even after pushing the button I'm convinced only lights up and doesn't notify anyone.

Anybody not having Walmart or Amazon deliver that shite in 2025 is just asking for trouble.

I went to a Walgreens in Miami last summer that had pretty much everything locked up.

The more stuff is locked up, the fewer staff are available to unlock them.

Which makes me curious, how high is the loss from theft compared to the loss due to customers not wanting to wait for items/choosing different stores that don't have these barriers.

Clearly they've done their homework, but find it hard to believe they lose more to people stealing than they do by enacting these processes.

Every Walgreens I’ve gone to makes an announcement over the store speakers when you press the button

Went to Walgreens the other night, and the toothless homeless lady out front whistled at me and said "you must work out."

And I realized that was the first compliment I've received in years.

Is the problem Skippy and Muffy from the trailer park, or ethnics? Is the Walgreen's sniper department hiring?

At the Walmart I go to they keep undershirts behind lock and key and they actually escort you to the checkout to buy them. You’d think you were buying a bar of gold. It’s insane.
