We’ve not heard much about him this offseason which I believe is a good thing. I was for sure he’d transfer at the end of last season but he stuck it out. I love Durham but I would not be surprised at all if Jackson becomes the monster and 1a RB on the team this year.

Hope you’re right. Now should be his time if he’s going to do it.

I was surprised he stayed but glad he did. Idk about him, he's definitely physically lifted, maybe if the o line can actually generate some holes this year he can get some steam and truck some people. This year will be Durhams breakout year

That’s called hope.

I too hope he has a breakout season but unfortunately all those muscles don’t help with Vision. That’s been his problem. I hope he’s been able to work on that

I really hope he has a great season. He seems like a good kid, willing to do what the team needs him to do. He could have transferred out but stayed. I hope it pays off for him.

I’d love to see it, but it will take some drastically different run schemes and actual running lanes. I really thought Kaleb would be a dude going into last year and was disappointed in our entire run game until Durham found a way to create.

In a best case scenario we get a little thunder and lightning game going.

Can you explain your reasoning behind this? I'm certainly interested in hearing this one.

You are correct but what if his vision is determined on his speed like he saw something he used to get through but he lost a step and couldn't.

I know he flat made wrong reads last season but I'm curious if he slims down if he is at a minimum decent.

If Sloan changes his running game approach there is no reason Jackson couldn't have a great season. If not, he'll be a 3-4 carry a game guy

Probably cause we run a zone blocking scheme which takes vision and you have to actually learn to read blocks . Cade ran a similar offense in high school is why he excels over it more so than kaleb

What kind of run game approach you want?

We will see (hope he does). Nice kid, good family.

But he is a one cut back that never makes the right, one cut.

I would be shocked. I hope Jackson improved over the offseason but Durham is a much better all around back.

The thing is, if we couldn’t run the ball behind that O line last year, why will it be better this year behind a new Line?

New starter at every position will absolutely be different. Let's hope it is different in a good way. Chester was not the answer at center. He can be a good guard. We will find out.

I think we can scheme him into opportunities for success. He needs space to get going. He can produce in play calls that play to his strengths.

THIS!

IMO that is why you're seeing more small shifty RBs lately.

If he can come in and spell Caden man that would be so awesome

I would love to see him break out.

On paper he looked like he was going to be a beast, but wound up being a disappointment.
