Clarence Thomas is 77. Repubs can't make the same mistake dems did with RBG. Thomas needs to step down before Trump’s term is up and nominate a no doubt 100% conservative. There can't be a repeat of an Amy Berrett type nominee that is a swing vote. Now that the BBB is done this should be what he's focused on.

Thomas needs to make the recommendation too.

Eta I don’t necessarily want him to step down. I hope he lives to 157 years old.

If you have Tillis saying, "here's who you should nominate", I would be skeptical. But if CT said, "I wholeheartedly concur"b then I would consider it a slam dunk.

I think what the poster might have meant was for Thomas to whisper a name into DJT's ear, good or nicked ear.

Are you referring to the justice who eviscerated the Biden nominated, DEI justice just last week and who sided with the other conservatives in overturning Roe v. Wade and who keeps siding with the majority of conservatives in overturning local district judges issuing nationwide stays nullifying President Trump's executive orders?

We sure don't need any more bleeding heart justices on the SCOTUS like her!

Is it up to him, can he at least have Ketanji Brown Jackson's pay withheld for non-performance?

Once you hit your 80th Birthday, you should pack up your shite and go home.

Supreme Court, Congress and President/Vice President, time to move on.

Trump should say "the Democrats wanted to expand the court and I want to give them what they asked for. I'm adding three more conservative Justices to the SCOTUS. Don't say I never did anything for them."

Thomas would need to resign soon then. Repubs may or may not win the senate in 2026.
