Family wants to visit Cancun I'm not a fan unless I missed something the first time.

What are some fun things for adults to do outside the beach areas?

I only go to beaches to scuba dive these days. So I prefer places like Belize and Cabo. Cancun is a waste of time to me.

Standing in a pool, drinking and pissing all over yourself for 5 days is not my idea of a good vacation.

They’re scared of somewhere “exotic” like Roatan or Europe. But you’re not going to change their mind. Plan a better trip for next year for somewhere worth a shite, and make those close minded losers say no. Enjoy an actual vacation.

Have you ever seen anyone at a resort pools get out to use the restroom? Even after hours of standing in waist deep water drinking their Chickalob Ultras or White Claws?

I don’t know why people keep going to Mexico. So much of the world to see and better places to vacation.

Mexico is easy to get to, fun, and cheap. Good for a quick family vacation where you might not have a week+ to go to Europe

Just google Cancun excursions. There are amazing pyramids ruins, snorkeling, mangrove jet skiing, ATV excursions, catamarans, fishing, etc.

Chichen itza pyramid tour was really great. Also, check on seaweed before you go. I hear it is bad now.

Xcaret Mexico for family with kids or Xcaret Arte for adults only.

Highly recommended those.
If you stay at those resorts you get access to all their parks and activities/excursions included.

It’s pricey but worth it, plus the resort is gorgeous and rated one of the nicest in Cancun area

Check out the Cenotes. Book a catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres. Whale sharks are there in the summer, great tour.

It’s a 2 hour direct flight from DFW and in the same time zone. For what you get it’s hard to beat for a quick 3/4 night getaway. They have built some amazing resorts in Playa Mujeres.

Also the best secret is Isla Mujeres. They have an all adult and family all inclusive. Rent a golf cart for your stay and drive around town. It’s a quick ferry ride from Cancun and one of the best beaches in the world. Also no seaweed or waves because it faces west.
