Reasonable long term baseball expectations now that the bar has been set

Of course we can’t expect a championship every other year. But would you say Omaha every other year would be reasonable? Championship every 6 to 7? That sounds about right to me, what do y’all say?

Program expectation
1. Omaha every other year
2. Top 8 National Seed every other year
3. Regional Host 3/4 years
4. Make tournament every year

Omaha every other year has been the norm for LSU. That will continue. National titles every 5 years.

All depends on how you finish in sec which is not easy when you are turning your roster over every year
Your sec finish determines if you host or not which is what you need to do to advance
Every natty has gone thru the box
Plus the reduced roster is back in play so you have to avoid injury
I’m confident Jay can get the right 34 but parity will be back in play

The goal is to get to Omaha every year and win a national title every 5 years or so.
That's been the standard at LSU for 35 years now. No reason to lose it. Jay looks to be a monster.

My expectations….
Regional every year
Hosting regionals most years
Super regional most years
Omaha most years
Once in Omaha anything can happen.
For me consistency getting to Omaha is the important part. Lots of factors go into winning it all.
