I know the hall values longevity, but the guy did some crazy stuff in his prime.
He's in rarified air in several categories when you start analyzing his stats.

Ain't no 170lb pitcher ever winning back to back Cy Young's again.

I think he should get in just because he is white

Probably not - he didn’t reach the 5% threshold so he would have to be a write in.
3x WS
2x Cy Young ?B2B)
4x Allstar
2x No Hitters
1x Babe Ruth
Giants legend though

No. If he had a good, longer career outside that 2008-2011 dominant window, maybe. The dude didn’t even sniff 200 wins.

Giants HOF- yes
MLB HOF - 110 wins, gave up the most ERs in MLB in 2012.
What do you think?

I think one’s career WAR should probably break 20.0. But that’s just me
Those 2 Cy Young seasons were worthy of the honor but the other 8 peaked at above average and some were just plain bad. It was tragic how quickly he lost velocity. That’s nowhere close to a HOF resume
His delivery was something else though. Amazing how hard a noodle can throw with the right mechanics

Maris ran back six kickoffs for TDs in one HS football game.
He was an athlete.

Al Bundy only scored 4.

It's tough because his effective time as a pitcher was so damn short. He arguably had one of the best primes of all time, but flamed out quickly.

probably will have to wait on the veterans committee
sorting through stats in the future for HOF consideration is going to be a lot harder as analytics have taken over the sport
