I know this happened awhile back, but Rivals website is now identical to On3. Probably not a lot of unhappy people here, but I really liked the web appeal and how the various articles were distributed. More readable to me.

Goodbye Rivals. Been nice knowing you.

It's all the same people. These recruiting sites are about like rental equipment companies. They have a can't lose formula and just keep repeating the cycle. Build/Create, sell, start another one after the non-compete period ends, buy the competition, sell, and repeat.

Add that to the McMurphy news and I wonder when fees will go up.

Jerit and Julie are still doing what they do best, that’s all I care about.

Bama fans are going to struggle with the gump bump being less of a thing.

Don't really care. Used to follow recruiting religously. It meant you were getting a good/great player for at least 3 years maybe 4. Now you get them for at least 4 months. High School recruiting has become a lot less relavent .

Shannon Terry runs circles around companies in this game

sold Alliance Sports to Rivals for 3 mill
Bought Rivals for 500k
Sold Rivals to Yahoo for 98 million
Founds 24/7 Sports
Sells it to CBS
Started On3
Is Buying Rivals.

And it’s the same model, he hires away the same guys, and the fans just follow him around which makes his site the most valuable one.

So are we going to eventually have a one-party monopoly in this industry too?

We only need a couple of good recruiting sites.

No one cares. This comment is made in every post on the page and yet you still feel the need to let everyone know something that’s been known for a year now

Probably, then Shannon Terry will start another once his noncompete is up.

This integration has been crap with no focus on customer service.

The gump bump started on Rivals.

Shannon Terry is a bama fan.

This may be completely anecdotal, but I find 247 to be the most accurate. Countless times I look up a guy shredding it in the NFL, and 247 had them as a 5 star whereas ESPN and On3 had him as a low 4 star.

I'm just looking up LSU 2023 stars. I didn't manipulate, it's just 1st thing that came to mind:

247 had Jayden rated highest of the 3
247 had BTJ at 69th, ESPN at 111th overall, On3 had 92nd overall
247 had Nabers at 150th, ESPN had an unranked 3 star (prob 500th overall or lower), On3 had at 175th
247 ranked Will Campbell lower than ESPN and on3.

But 247 was more accurate on 3 of the 4 players. 4 players/3 recruiting services, should mean that they should only be most correct on 1.33 players. But they were most correct on 3 of 4.

I had no idea what these guys were ranked before searching them, this was completely random.
