No doubt. The past year really sucked. Jay needs to step it up.

He was Gatorade POY and a top 10 pick. Dude was absolutely never coming here, so we didn’t “miss”.

I mean if we start going down the list of guys who were committed to us then didn’t come because they got drafted in the first round, then we are about to drop some insanely rich MLB guys’ names

TN is doing a great job this year getting elite HS players to forego the draft. Do we get Ebel, Fauske, Quintin Young, LHP McKenzie, Dean Moss, Landon Hodge, Miguel Sime to do the same?

Which ones sign with LSU? I think we need at least 3-4 of them to sign to compete next year unless Shores, Frey, Jones and Stanfield all return.

This seems like a critical thing for a program that isn’t going to go ballistic in the portal and has a lot of draft risk commits

It took you a whole week after winning the national championship to start complaining about something.

Such as?

TN is chasing LSU, not the other way around. LSU has cemented itself as THE program of college baseball.

You act like he was 50/50 making it to campus. Players like Griffin have no reason to come to school.

Yea man, one thing I have noticed is Jay really doesn’t know what he’s doing. Looks like we are about to only have 24 guys on the team next year

Won the natty a week ago and have 5 transfers plus 12-14 recruits, plus 13 or so returning players…plus the fact the roster size is way smaller….

Btw, Tennessee’s entire pitching staff is gone so they are throwing crazy money around in desperation. Bold move cotton, let’s see if it pays off for em

Chase Shores
Jaden Noot
Dylan Crews
Ty Floyd
William Schmidt
Derek Curiel
Jake Brown
Cade Arrambide
Paxton Kling
Cam Johnson
Brady Neal

But you already knew that. Since Jay been the HC the I’m pretty sure LSU has gotten the Highest rank high school player to make it campus 3 out his 4 years not counting this upcoming draft. Btw was Tennessee in Omaha this year?

Bro that’s not bad luck. Griffin was literally THE top prep player in the entire draft - he was never making it to campus.

Such as who?

Did you just miss out on the fact we got Curiel, Arrambide and Schmidt to campus this past season all who were considered high six to seven figure signing bonus guys?

They've also not gotten anyone to campus ranked as highly as either Curiel or Schmidt.

No kidding. The dude signed for like $8M and already got promoted to High A where he is hitting .358 with an OPS of over 1.000. It wasn't bad luck. He's that good.

And just a few years ago, got Guidry, Noot, Shores, and Kling to campus. Those guys turned down over $3M in signing bonuses. I would like to think he's trolling but he's not. On the Rant, he thought Walker Howard was a "generational QB" so I think he's actually trying.
