There are 53 rebubs and 47 dems. They got 56 votes for it. That means 3 dems crossed over and voted with the republicans. Unfortunately they needed 60.

Why was this parliamentarian not replaced as soon as the Senate was majority Republican, why isn't she being replaced right now?

It sucks that taxpayers will have to pay the medical expenses for illegals but if taxpayers don't pay, who does?
Would it mean the hospitals and emergency rooms would have to provide services free of charge or be forced to turn away a seriously injured person and not be treated?
Small rural hospitals could be forced to go bankrupt and shut down.
That sucks, too.

It’s actually strategic by the GOP. This Parliamentarian is not that bad for a Dem. If the GOP replaced her, then the Dems would eventually fire the GOP appointee and put in a MUCH worse Dem.
