Really wish he would’ve stuck it out like Frey did.

With Stanfield a question mark, he was in a position to not have a guaranteed starting spot going into his draft year. He’s a good player and from his perspective it makes sense

Great. It's over.

Midweek games will be lost, we will get swept by an Auburn like SEC team and then we'll struggle with an Arkansas Little Rock type team in the regional

All because Larson is gone.

Jk we going back to back next year. BOL Larson

I definitely understand why he’s transferring. He wants to guarantee himself a starting role next season. I get it. He’s got a ton of potential and would’ve liked to see him compete for a role on next year’s team.

Well, we all knew this was a strong possibility. We just hoped it wouldn’t happen.

Not at all shocked. I got downvoted to hell for saying he was gone before the meat of the season even started. But it was very well documented that his mother was very upset and verbal about his playing time. He was a great teammate and player, he just got passed up. Best of luck to AL wherever he lands unless it’s Tennessee… imo this means Frey or Stanfield has made their decision.

Pretty good indicator that Stanfield will be back next year IMO

Understandable, kind of expected, and yet still disappointing.

Ton of potential and likely would have contributed a great deal on the 26 team

I guess this means Stanfield is back

its a shame but he won the battle over brown most of '24 but brown passed him up last year, and we can only play 3 OF.

Good kid and was a team player, this probably came from their exit meetings. Best of luck to him, hopefully he gets out of the SEC.

He trained with Lange and dreamed of playing for LSU since he was a 12 or 13.

He loved being at LSU and was a supportive teammate this year.

The pinch hit homer vs Bama in the Fri game was big.

He just isn’t athletic enough to play the outfield at LSU, struggled at the plate most of the year and he’s had no experience at 1B to guarantee a spot there.

He’ll have plenty of good options.

Pretty unfair to say he struggled at the plate when 75% of his at bats came in late game PH roles. On top of that, he batted .256 but his OBP% was .423 with a slugging of .487

He didn’t struggle, we just have better LH batters in the OF. Really really wish we could keep him but it is basically impossible. Wish him well and hope we don’t have to play against him
