Diamonddog asked me why I post here if I disagree with many of the ideas posting here and people are abusive in response to my opposing viewpoints.
Likewise, I question why anyone would want to post in an echo chamber, as that wouldn’t be interesting or stimulating at all - yet a large number of people do just that. So why? Why do you post here in a place where you agree with most of what is posted? What is engaging about that?

I like the fact that my philosophy gets sharpened by reading things I haven’t thought of before, and that I can occasionally provide that for someone else.

Its a good question.
This place is a good sounding board for testing logic and ideas.
I post in far more liberal places as well so if I cant make a conservative viewpoint work here, it won't work in other places.
Additionally most people I know are liberal so besides testing logic, it's a good outlet for ranting when most liberals I know are either cowered by Trans and dei racism, or yelling that it doesn't matter because Trump.
Good liberals I know refuse to speak up about things they know are wrong.
