I'm probably going to pick up Clair Obscur and God of War Ragnorak. Could be swayed on the new civ potentially

Thanks for the reminder. I just scrolled through my wishlist, and the DLC for 112 Operator is 80% off. The rest has decent discounts, but even stuff that is years old has an MSRP of over $30, which makes the discounts something not to salivate over. Company of Heroes 3 has a 50% discount, but the store price was still $59. I'll pass. Spice Wars and Return to Monkey Island look to be at a nice price though.
ETA: Starfield is still listed at MSRP of $69, FFS. 40% discount on that, hell no. Rinse and repeat for most of the stuff in my list.

Yeah, that’s the issue with Steam sales these days. It used to be that the list price went down over the years, then you’d catch a sale. So a Fallout game would be listed for $20 and then go on sale for 75% off, so you caught it for $5. Now, the list price never goes down, so even when I see big sales, the “deeply discounted old arse game” is still like $20.

But with that said, I did pick up Hazel Sky and Tin Hearts earlier, because I guess I needed to grow my game backlog more

I picked up Ghost of Tsushima for 33% off and the Robocop game which is like 90% off

I look for legit high discounts (85% to 90%) or under $5.
I'm not above getting a "must have" game at 50% to 60% off around $15 to $20, but with my hardware situation, I can afford to wait for games to get older.

If you like old school SNES style Donkey Kong Country there is a very good DKC retro style game called Kaze and the Wild Masks and it's on sale for a mere $2.24.

Ghost of Tsushima
This has been on my list, but I didn't pull the trigger. It's still $40, which is more than my cheap-arse is willing to pay.

I was in the same boat, then decided to try out GeForce Now. Very impressed so far, and $20/month for Ultimate compared to $800 for a new GPU seems like a good deal to me. Downside is that you have to own the game, limited library due to publisher agreements, no mods, and a 100 hour/month cap (I get nowhere close to that). Upside is that all you really need is a screen and an solid internet connection to play modern games.
Zero issues so far using it besides Oblivion crashing because that's what Bethesda games do.

Ghost is worth every penny of $40.

I’ve started playing it and it is an incredibly beautiful game and the combat is really great. Also I’m not sure how likely it is to find better deals than 33% off considering it’s a Sony game, they generally don’t offer really steep discount on their games.

Football Coach College Dynasty is on sale for $10. Pretty fun game for coaching/recruiting

$40 is a steal for this game.
Absolutely beautiful scenery, fantastic cinematics, fun combat and great story.
Pay the money.
Edit: Ghost of Yotei comes out in October. I belive it's a "sequel" set 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima.

Just grabbed Ready or Not, Red Dead 1, and Blasphemous. Might pick up a horror game too. Kinda got an early Halloween itch going.

I need a new PC.. still rocking my January 2019 build of RTX 2070, i5-9600K, 16GB DDR4, 1440p and Windows 10.
Back to games, get Ghost of Tsushima. Loved it and very well optimized.
I’m sad I can’t get newer games. Really want Borderlands 4 and Clair Obscur looks good.
