The thing that jumped out at me is Appetite For Destruction at number 18. Which is ridiculously low considering it's literally the greatest selling debut record of all time.

I was coming here to hate on this idea but it is insane to be that by 87 Prince releases one of his better albums and America is just like "we are good buddy"

Midnight to Midnight was not one of the Psychedelic Furs better efforts.

The Alarm, Eye of the Hurricane,, was a follow up to Strength which is probably one of the best albums of the decade. It would be hard to top it.

Electric by The Cult was one kick arse album. Whenever I need motivation I put it on and Billy's guitar is like shock therapy.

I honestly thought it was a down year. I think this mostly because some of my favorite bands from that era started making music too different from what made me like them. REM and INXS for example. Anyway:
1. The Smiths - Strangeways, Here We Come
2. Dinosaur Jr - You’re Living All Over Me
3. Hoodoo Gurus - Blow Your Cool!
4. X - See How We Are
5. Guadalcanal Diary - 2×4
6. The Connells - Boylan Heights
7. Hüsker Dü - Warehouse: Songs and Stories
