Not shocked that two uncultured swine from California are clueless about Southern cuisine

The St. Brown's entire schtick is just "we hate on everything"

It's also one of those things that can be both right and wrong. How much has he traveled and where else has he eaten (what is he comparing it to). Also, what restaurants did he eat at when he was down here and what was he ordering?

Whenever someone says the food in the NOLA area is "regular, overrated", I always think of my SIL who says she has not found a good Italian restaurant, yet only orders Chicken Parm.

We have to start collectively taking a stand against podcasting. It's out of control. Not everyone should have a voice. Being able to afford mid-level AV equipment doesn't mean that you are interesting.

Podcasting is great. It is often far more informative and nuanced than any other form of media. We need to take a stand on people giving bad worthless podcasting a platform and passing it off as news. If not for the social media presenting this, it’s just some guys talking in a living room on tape.

If there is one frickING thing that New Orleans is good at, food and drink may be that one thing. No one will ever convince me otherwise. Not good at much else, but you will never be able to take that away from New Orleans.

I’ve traveled a decent amount. NOLA, Vegas and NYC have the best food in America IMO. No contest. There is good food elsewhere, but not consistently like those three cities.

This is the key. When you hear people say what about… city, they will then name 1-2 restaurants in that city and claim it’s so much better. But when people talk about NOLA food, they can name a dozen+ restaurants that can compete with pretty much any city

I think Miami DEFINITELY belongs in that group...especially if you're including Vegas. Significantly more dives, and mid range price points to go with the great high end places than Vegas IMO.

I don't know if Tyler will be the eventual starter, but we will probably be treated to some great one liners.

I love chicken parm, it is the dish I gauge Italian restaurants by. Much in the same manner I use gumbo as a measuring stick for seafood or Cajun restaurants. I feel like if you can't get those staples right, your restaurant is just not for me.

Miami does have some great food. I feel like it’s got some generic places that aren’t that great too. Little Havana and Wynwood are fantastic! Downtown…very meh. That’s just my take and why I wouldn’t rank it as high as the other three. But it’s in the conversation IMO.
