Buc-ees Alabama and Mississippi yesterday (Sunday June 22)

Went to Orange Beach Wednesday, stopped at Buc-ees Alabama on way, crowded but not terrible.
On way home yesterday traffic slowed to a crawl couple miles from Buc-eyes,got closer a traffic was backed up at least 1/2 mile at both entrances.
Decided to wait to stop at Mississippi Buc-ees.Got in pretty easily but every gas pump had a car,had to wait awhile to fill up. Like to never found a parking place, ended up in a space right at the far entrance.
Inside was packed with people milling around,it was crazy.Went to the bathroom, came out and there was an old man(about my age) standing there with a deer in the headlights look with his mouth hanging open, taking it in.I walked up to him and asked him if he had ever seen such a thing. He said” never in my wildest dreams”.
Got me a chopped brisket sandwich(very good),small bag Beaver Nuggets, ice tea and some jerky and left.
Wife wouldn’t even go in,made a sandwich in the car and drank a bottle of water.
Like it or hate it Buc-ees is a phenomenon.(I like it).
I’m sure Beaver Aplin never dreamed of the success his stores would turn out to be to be.

The overall shitty quality of gas stations rocketed them into hyperspace once word got out how much people detest most gas stations and truckstops. I've noticed an uptick in quality gas stations and even truckstops like Love's have been "nicer."
Side note: I can't speak for gas stations in Louisiana but mostly in Texas I've seen this trend. Not saying there aren't shite gas stations since they still exist.

Unpopular opinion, Buc-ees food sucks. Doesn’t taste good at all.

Made the mistake of going to the one in Alabama. Took almost 2 hours to get out of there.

Stopped at the Leeds Buc-ee’s Sunday morning at 7am and jt was a pleasant experience
It was my first time at one. And it wasn’t crowded.
Got a bunch of food to try. Peed at the urinal. Got some gas

Sounds like Buccees needs to foot the bill for infrastructure improvements. To be honest they should be proactive about it like Costco is, and not wait for the City/County to force their hand. It would help in their growth plan.

“Candid pics of her in the ‘80s ?”
“Not in her 80s”
She’s 72,looks 10 years younger, still weighs the same as when we got married 1980.I can’t say the same.
She is a stick in the mud, hates Buc-ees.WalMart,also.I do almost all the grocery shopping.
I think their sandwiches are very good.Bathrooms are amazing.
We had stopped once at the Miss.reststop to pee,the smell in the bathroom would’ve gagged a buzzard.

Sounds like a smart gal.
That place is a nightmare.
Bathrooms are usually clean, though. I like clean bathrooms.
