1-I didn’t want to get involved. And if it were me making the call- we wouldn’t have.

2-I voted for Trump bc I do trust him to make the right call. I always knew he didn’t want Iran to have a nuke. He made this no secret. So I’m not going to criticize. I’m just going to wait and see.

3- I did not vote for Netanyahu and I don’t trust him to make any calls, and I’m pissed that Trump thanked him. Whether I’m mad at Trump about this depends a lot on whether Israel truly acted unilaterally last week.

4-If the strikes were truly as successful as advertised, then Iran’s practical ability to retaliate is lessened and from what I’m reading preliminarily Iran is fairly isolated from its allies with respect to responding.

5- if truly as successful as advertised, Iran’s scary meanness is somewhat neutralized bc they can’t give a terrorist a nuke.

6-perhaps this means Iran knows that we were not bluffing re: Nukes and its politicians decide that it’s better for them politically to just go ahead and make peace, or else they will get kicked out of power. Maybe the orange man finds them a way to save face with their population and stay there, then the ayatollah dies of natural causes and Iran becomes liberated by these ppl who allegedly hates the regime.

I’m going to 9:30 mass and I’m going to pray for peace, for our President and our country

ETA 1:14 pm CST

If I were a black woman (I’m a south Louisiana white woman so I just made rice and gravy) I think this is a perfect synopsis of how I would state my cautious optimism

Did this term get sent out in an email yesterday or something? I’m seeing it all over the place as if it’s been a thing before now.

Everyone knew that going in.

He's acted consistently based on the information supplied to him.

The main supplier being Israel, who I don't fully trust.

Whether you like it or not, a portion of Trump's support comes from people who hate Bush/Cheney, John McCain, John Bolton, and Lindsey Graham.

The term may be new but the concept is as old as MAGA

I found a lot of old threads with receipts. Wednesday actually is being relatively consistent to her stance in 2019 so I give her credit for that

I respect your thoughts. But as to making the call to take out those facilities, none of us have the info Trump has received.

I found it interesting a couple of days ago, a female reporter was asking him questions, he pointed out to her that she was in danger just standing next to him

Makes you realize the stakes, and what he knows. I’m guessing he’s heard there’s a current Iranian plot against him.

Lots of people on both sides of the political spectrum sky screaming about the whole deal, I wonder how many complaining know the truth but won’t admit it due to politics.

1. That's how it always works. And they never do exactly what we want them to do. And we live in a big bad world.
2, Yes. So it's hard to see how the isolationists were ever going to get their way.
3. You like jews or not? Trump likes Netanyahu. Their values are the same and both are tough.
4. Iran still has missiles.
5. Iran won't give up until the old guys in the robes are gone. They can still repress their people. We can't stop that from over here.
6. Maybe. Their politicians are tyrants and "religious leaders".
7. I'm going to mass at ten.

Do you really think anyone on the internet or in the bullshite news actually knows the true facts behind all of this.

Trump did the best thing possible last term when he shut off their oil exports and crippled their economy but Sleepy Joe had to reverse everything be damned the consequences.

This is just more Democratic shite Trump has to clean up

Pretty much aligned with my thoughts.

I am hopeful that Iran (and world) realizes the potential severity of escalation at this point.

Agreed. That’s why I’m gonna dance with the one who brung me. And just hope and pray that 1) what he saw wasn’t bullshite made up by neocons and Netanyahu; and 2) Kash Patel has made a shite ton of arrests last week that we don’t know about yet.

ETA - I’ve been a dove since Iraq. I didn’t know that Trump Dove was some kind of thing. I am a Trumper bc I want peace.

It will be interesting if Trump indeed goes to the Netherlands next week. And if he does, I look forward how he is received. He towers above the rest of them.

Good post.

Lots of fear and panic by posters that supposedly are MAGA and thought Trump would never bomb someone. Did they forget his first term?

He has pledged Iran could not get a Nuke. What the hell does anyone think they were trying to do with nuclear sites hidden in the desert and not allowing inspectors in completely? C’mon people!

This was the best time this century to make this strike. Hamas neutered, Hezbollah neutered, Houthis neutered, Syria neutered, Iranian scientists finding out the virgins aren’t waiting for them….

Trump was given an opportunity that if we wanted to quiet this regime for awhile, it was time to make the strike.

Now, I’m with everyone else in regards to a prolonged war. If Trump gets us bogged down in that, he will lose his base.

I don’t see it happening though. I hope I’m right.

I know times have been hard for Joo Tards like yourself these last 32 months.

But skull fricking Iran’s nuclear program from the air is not the same thing as sending thousands of US troops to slaughter and exterminating hundreds of thousands of civilians acrosss Iraq and Afghanistan. Or sending 1,000,000 Slavs to slaughter in exchange for 9 figure defense contracts.

If a portion of Trump’s support comes from useful idiots who get their thoughts implanted from X bots and engagement farmers then that is on them. They can happily join Team I Sexually Mutilate My Own Child in 2026 and 2028 and vote blue.

How can anyone know except those who know what he was given?

By reading media reports?

It's pretty clear that presidents act on IC info.

The real people in charge are still the IC.

Always have and always will.

Well, most of us didn't want to be involved - but Iran cannot have or develop nuclear weapons. Mutually Assured Destruction is a win for their crazy leadership.

Im not gonna abandon MAGA because of this, im just disappointed. We have to be practical, maybe it was practical to bomb them in June 2025. I think the whole relationship with Iran was bungled, on purpose, years ago because we need another enemy to justify the defense spending.

We are friends with Saudi Arabia, which is an even stricter Muslim country...with ties to the 9/11 terrorists. We arent bombing them, they dont have sanctions. This was mishandled, starting years ago. Weve now created another generation of people that are 1) Desperate 2) Hate us. This is just another golden recipe for bad bad outcomes.
